What taught us what to expect from Black women before we ever met the woman standing in front of us?

Resolving R.A.P.E. Culture goes upstream of the conversations we usually have about rape culture. Religion, Athletics, Politics and Entertainment do more than reflect culture. They help teach us what women and men are supposed to be, what we expect from one another, and what we make of people who refuse those expectations.

The Second Edition follows those lessons beyond the institutions that teach them and into the ways we interpret goodness, protection, authority, disagreement, brotherhood and one another.

The question is no longer only what culture has taught us. It is what happens when what culture taught us becomes ours.
